“Midnight Dandelion” – Is spray paint (Blues, Purples, Black & White) on canvas by me inspired by my “Beginnings” piece. I seldom use color and this came out magnificently.

I am an internationally recognized artist who, through my work, seeks to utilize various harmonies and ideas to visually engage the audience. I also use my art as an opportunity to experiment with the range of possibilities allowed through my choice of materials, spray paint and hand cut stencils.
My work captures spaces of partial or full illumination between the perfect shadows on all sides of a person or an object. The artwork conveys the real beauty of the subject. The viewer is able to appreciate the simplicity, splendor and exquisiteness of my work and the subject. The work is raw, it’s stripped back, it’s honest.
I am vehemently opposed to using art as a means to rely on overly-complex theories or ideas to prop up mediocre images. I believe that the quality of the actual work is what is paramount.

Hi urbanwallart. Looks so real. It would be nice to see visual art around my words one day. Good to hear from you again hope all is well in your world. Best Wishes, The Foureyed Poet.

This piece is…magical. I love it!!
Instant fan! You do amazing work!!!
What a gorgeous work!
I love this. I think it would be a beautiful t-shirt with the dandelion seeds blowing around the side of the shirt. I would buy that.
So, I am puzzled by the creationof these. Do you draw something, then use a sharp knife to cut away paper, then hold it above canvas then use spray paint?
I am very curious and not an artist.
And did I see you will have a show in Vermont? Where and when?
Thanks.
I free hand cut with an X-Acto knife…no drawing. I cut away what I want to be white, essentially I free hand create the negative of an image. I then paint a canvas black, lay the cut piece over it and use white spray paint. Yes, I will be in Stowe Vermont in September at West Branch Gallery. Here is the link… if you scroll down on the right for September you will see my name. http://www.westbranchgallery.com/exhibitions/upstairs.lasso
Outstanding work Ray! 😀 I blogged about it on my blog and put the connection to your etsy page.. Sorry, I apparently didn’t think of linking it to this one…. but you can check it out and I can correct if you wish. Hope your weekend is great!
Ooo, this artwork is so soft and magical. I feel lighter just looking at it! Good use of color.
Hope it finds a nice spot in someone’s home. Honestly, I don’t think it’ll stay in the Etsy shop for long. lol.

Are we connected by starbeams?
The warmth of the sunset has hushed
Leaving all my favorite blues
(How does anyone choose just one favorite color?)
Glowing against the darkness
Of the rim this river carved
Swollen with snowmelt
Now covering
The carcass of that great elk
Whose clay is carried
Right now
Downstream to the greatest canyon
Where it might meet ashes
Of men, or gods
Because Earth is tilting
On her axis and
Even the clumps of yellowed grasses
Are turning green
Spherical white dandelion puffs
Are sending out seeds to the wind
Even the seeds know how to send
Roots down and green reaching up to light
I wonder if any of us ever really knows
The root of anything as I watch
Electric torches blazing along the road
I mean, we could all close a circuit
And persuade electrons to dance just so
Making waves of photons for light
But where do they get their energy?
How does octane save sunbeams in bonds
That held one atom to another for millions of years
How does a bond hold such power?
