It has been a little while since I posted something new and that only means one thing… I’ve been very busy. Here are two of my latest pieces, Spray Paint on canvas using hand cut stencils! Many more to come. Enjoy!!

Wow! I want to know when WordPress is going to add a “love” button! These are great!
Amazing! And the first one looks like a portrait of Trombone Shorty!
amazing incredible art, i nominated you for Very Inspiring Blogger Award, talent like this does exactly that: inspires 🙂
Dude, that’s awesome. My space paintings aren’t bad, but these are brilliant.

Wow. Your art is truly amazing. I have to echo mrsdeboots…the one on the right blows my mind. Can’t believe it’s a stencil and spray paint. Are there many artists doing this, or is this your own original method?
love this. the trombone player makes me think of jack kerouac for some reason. 1940’s jazz craziness, and wild, alive people screaming for him to keep going. dig it. dig it alot
Too cool!
amazing work!

Fantastic! This is a type of art I NEVER would have thought of! I do a little drawing myself from time to time, but only when it is really necessary.
Perhaps you have this posted somewhere else, how much to commission a piece of work?

I loved “Anticipation” Ray. Nice work as always.
These are beautiful! I love spray painting, but never thought of using it in art!

The images, the style… rather than say anything more I suggest you see for yourself and let the art do the talking…

This work makes the music feel like it is happening in front of my eyes. Thank you.
The trombone picture is exquisite! and home made stencils? That’s so cool! 🙂
That trombone knocks me out! 🙂
I appreciate your talent. Spray painting with stencils – great concept. Never heard of this innovative way of creating before. Love what you do.
Excellent artwork! I’m sure you hear it very often but you’re an extremely talented individual
Amazing x
Ray, I love your art….I am a fan!!
Very nice. I love the contrast of light in the second image. It has both realistic and surrealistic qualities that don’t diminish each other, but instead work together to create a really unique and interesting piece.
Love the pictures… I never would have thought of doing it this way, but I like it!
I’m checking you too 🙂 Cool stuff.
Fabolous art!! I wish i could do something like that since i am not good at drawing and painting.
Love art where you think it’s one medium and it’s actually another. Simply beautiful.
These are fabulous. What sizes are these canvases?
Thank you. They are both 2ft x 3ft, with a 1.5 inch profile.
Great size. I hope you have or will have some exhibits.
I have an ongoing exhibit through the end of the year in Virginia, in January I have one in Chicago, then Spring I have San Diego, New York and possibly Sweden.
Where in Va? NY? Is this listed on your website? I did not see the specifics about it.
Virginia is in Williamsburg at Art Cafe 26 through end of December. NY is yet to be determined there are 3 galleries interested so I am waiting to see who gives me the most space for a Solo exhibition.
Great. I hope you get the space and post it on your blog. Best of everything!
Gorgeous!
When I first see one of your pieces the image is striking, bold and compelling, then I walk away and the impact transcends into an evocative sentiment that lingers and brings me to a different place and time. A place that exudes coolness; people and places rich in character and that tell a deeper story. Lagond is a lucky school to have your artwork.
both are great!

nice work – love the simplicity of black and white
I, too, am a trombone player and really like the first one. Both are good, though. Very good.
i have a soft spot for the first, having been a trombone player for many years. As always, i am deeply inspired by your work.
As always, Ray — AWESOME!
This is wonderful work, I can’t wait to see more!
I’m amazed by your shadowing and light. Stencils and spray paint! Who knew?!?
The first one is cool but that second one is AMAZING! Wow!
